NEDA Privacy Policy

NEDA respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its web site. To protect online privacy, NEDA has implemented the following policy.

What information does NEDA collect?

It is our general policy to collect and store only personal information that our members and visitors knowingly provide. If our privacy policies change, we will notify all users by e-mail or a special announcement placed on the web site.

For General Users: NEDA does not collect any personal information from users browsing its web site. Users in the public areas of NEDA’s web site browse anonymously. Only aggregate data, such as the number of hits per page, are collected. Aggregate data are only used for internal purposes and do not provide any personally identifying information.

For NEDA dealer-members: To gain access to the members-only resources on the NEDA web site, members must enter a user id and password. When this is done, a temporary “cookie” is placed on the user’s computer. (See “How Does NEDA Use Cookies,” below.) The sole purpose of the cookie is to allow the member to browse between the public pages and the members-only pages without having to log on each time the members-only resources are entered.

How does NEDA use collected data?

NEDA only uses data that is voluntarily submitted by members and other visitors to the web site. Generally, NEDA uses this data to respond to the user’s request. On occasion, NEDA may also provide limited data to third parties that offer the products and/or services on which the visitor has requested information. Again, this is to allow those third parties to respond to the visitor’s request. These limited data include names, job titles, companies, business addresses, and if applicable, business phone numbers, business fax numbers, business email addresses, and/or other service-related information.

How does NEDA use Cookies?

Cookies are files that contain information created by a web server that can be stored on a User’s hard disk for use either during a particular session (“per session” cookie) or for future use (“persistent” cookie). NEDA uses cookies to track when a member logs on to the member-only section, and cookies must be enabled to view the member-only resources.

What Privacy issues arise with links to other sites?

This web site contains links to other internet sites. NEDA has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of such sites.

What means of redress are available?

If any User suspects NEDA has handled its personal information in a manner that does not comply with this privacy statement, please contact us through our contact page or by calling 315-457-0314 or 1-800-932-0607.
